Is it easy to get to Campitello?

Yes it is. Campitello is located in the Fassa Valley in the Trentino Province of norther Italy. Its north of Venice and east of Bolzano.
There are weekend buses from the closest airports of Venice Marco Polo and Verona (see our getting there page). You can also get a bus from either Bolzano or Trento railway stations which can be accessed from anywhere in Europe. You can also book a minibus taxi to pick you up from Bolzano - approximately euro 100.

What are the ski conditions generally like?

The Dolomites is blessed with some of the best weather in the alps. Snow falls tend to be interspersed with 7-10 day spells of fine cold weather. Average snowfalls are 5m+ for the season. There are a range of pistes form intermediate to advanced, although intermediate runs predominate. It is an ideal area for family skiing. See our skiing page for some ideas.

What is there to do beside skiing?

The area is spectacularly beautiful. For those not of the skiing persuasion, there are snow walks, shopping, day spas, sleigh rides and generally taking in the history of the area. It is also possible to meeting skiing partners on the mountain for lunch or morning or afternoon tea. Of course just being up on the mountain - skiing or not - and taking in the alpine environment is something you will never forget.

What can we do with the kids?

The ski schools offer programs that can take care of the kids for a part of each day or for the whole week. There is also a ski daycare available in Canazei for younger children. See our skiing page.
